The Evolution of Marketing
In a Traditional company, a sales manager and sales reps are hired by the company. The company is limited to the number of sales reps they can hire based on the financial resources the company has to pay salaries and on the traffic the sales manager can handle. Once a sales manager is overwhelmed, the company can hire another manager or convert a sales rep into a manager. This could be called “3 Level Multi-Width” marketing because it expands the organization horizontally but usually has only 3 levels
- Management
- Sales Managers x as many as required
- Sales Reps x as many as required
MLM - The Good the Bad and the Ugly
MLM started with Tupperware's party plan concept and was proven a success well before the www became popular. Cosmetic companies were quick to follow and they were some of the first to make use of the internet to promote their concept and products.
Multiple Level marketing companies today mostly use what is known as a "matrix". A Matrix is a mathematical formula that pays reducing commissions for many levels. Matrix models are very complex and they are structured to pressure members to "balance their downlines" to be rewarded. The idea is to force the pace of recruiting to keep the company growing based on new customers who must order products to join.
Often these customers loose interest and fail to re-order and only a small percent respond to their upline's efforts and become effective sales reps. This has led to the perception that MLM is high pressure and that only those who start up these companies benefit long term. There are now many successful and well engineered MLM companies that operate legally and ethically but there are also some that just rely on new sign-ups and sell information products for hundreds of dollars that can be found on book shelves or even for free on the www.
For all the negatives, MLM is here to stay because it can produce volume sales for companies. In the next 5 years, network marketing will emerge as the dominant strategy for small business globally. We call MLM for social good, MPM.
Harnessing "Multi Person Marketing" for Social Good.
You are not reading this information on this humanitarian website just to help yourself.... you want to help others. We would like to help you achieve that balance. If you are not earning a comfortable income in half your available working hours, how will you be able to devote time to helping others?
Your success achieving this balance is very important to us. Without volunteers Island Aid is just words and ideas.
"Do ONLY the right things for ONLY the right reasons" This is not only the mantra that every network marketer needs to repeat... it is the mantra that every volunteer and business person should use no matter what line of aid work or business they are in. And it is absolutely the most important ground rule for Island Aid's Virtual Volunteers.
Why are Global Domains International Different?
Global Domains International have adopted a very simple strategy and it works because they have set aside over 50% of their product price for commissions to their members.
No other company has exclusive registrant status over a top level national domain name and because the product they sell is a website / domain name package, they dont have to physically move material or products. They use the www to deliver and maintain their products and so their product can be competitively priced with the high commission rate built in.
They sell a "virtual machine". A website is now an almost essential item for everyone involved in business. It is a powerful and interactive "window" or "shop front" available to millions of buyers globally. They package this "virtual machine" together with your unique top level domain name and a wide range of "Tools". The unique domain name adds real value and the tools help the owner of the machine make better use of its power and performance potential.
Machines and Tools are what give humans leverage in any situation to multiply their effort and improve their effectiveness and rewards earned. A Website and Domain Name package has intrinsic and lasting value that can increase over time...of course, like any machine or tool, a website is only of value if it is maintained and used.
Your Members Sign Up Once - The Rest is Automated
You dont even need to stay in contact with the customers you register because they pay monthly. Over 70% of registrants keep their website active long term and most share the idea with at least one or two others. The on-line video and clear instructions automate the sign up procedure. Just show people your website and ask if they would like to get one in their own name.
5-Level Uni-Level Compensation
GDI offer a standard compensation plan that ALL affiliates qualify for, even those who are still in their free trial period. Basically, you are paid $1 per month, per domain, that is registered in your 5 level network. A 5 Level Uni-Level compensation plan is a hybrid and it is one of the most easily understood plans in network marketing. It is the key to the GDI's rapid growth.
You are not limited by width. You can refer as many people as you want to, and so can those people that you refer, and so on.
Here's an example. You refer 5 people to the GDI product/program. That pays you $5 per month. What can you do with $5?..... not much. Read on and you'll see the power of this. Each of those 5 people then refer 5 of their own, so you're now getting paid an additional $25 per month on your "second level". Each of those 25 can refer as many as they want, but for consistency we'll say that they too refer 5 each. That's $125 in monthly commissions on your 3rd level. If the trend continues, you'll have $625 in monthly commissions on your 4th level, and $3,125 in monthly commissions on your 5th level.
That's a total of over $3,900 in monthly commissions for referring 5 people, and then teaching a few of those people how to do the same and assisting them in growing their own organizations. Keep in mind that nobody is limited in how many people they can refer. Some of our affiliates personally refer hundreds of other affiliates. Just a couple of these motivated "virtual volunteers" can build income well above the example above. Here's a graphical example of our uni-level plan.
This diagram shows another Non-Profit signing up under Island Aid and encouraging their volunteers and constituents to purchase a website to support their operation. This works exactly the same for an individual as it does for an organization. As an Island Aid Virtual Volunteer, you could find a non-profit to enroll under your name regardless of what generation you are enrolled in. As you can see, Island Aid benefits without taking anything away from your Non-Profit's earnings. Because the commissions cut off after 5 generations, there is no inherent advantage to being at the 'top' in this structure. You are responsible for your own fresh organization and it can grow as large as your vision and enthusiasm can make it.
With the global market for domain names and websites seeing dramatic growth in emerging economies, this GDI business has been exposed to less that 1% of the world market.
